Treasures from Trash...
I have a great treasure find I am going to pick up in the morning- an old iron headboard with lots of curlicues and such that would be perfect for a bit of flowering vine (Moonflower? Hummingbird (cypress) vines? morning glories?). I think it is an awsome thing.... Do you ever see treasure in someone elses trash?

Absolutely! My favorite accessory in my garden is a maroon bicycle my friend Gianna picked up at the curb for me. She knew I'd like it since it had upright handlebars and a book holder on the back.
Another great curb find was a broken cheap table missing a top. I made a wire basket to fit in the frame and planted the whole table. It was amazing and lasted another 3 years before going back out to the curb.
What a find on the old bed frame!
I have decided what I want to do with it...
I am putting a small water feature in my yard and will use the head board as a backdrop for the pond (I think - I do reserve the right to change my mind ;)) and have the flowering vines groe in it- through it. I am excited.
Yes! We are having bulk item pick up in our town this week and I see so much stuff I want. Dh won't let me have it. He says we got enough stuff to give someone else. But I love your idea and we can't wait to see pics. Welcome to blotanical.

That will be my second yard project this year - the vegetable garden is the other 'biggie' and I am excited!

That is a fabulous FIND ! .. and if you keep on track with it being a backdrop for a water feature .. it is going to look awesome girl !
I think everyone beats me to finds like that .. but when the weather clears and those little flea markets begin .. so will the treasure hunting !

I have a couple of 'opportunities' a year- there are a couple of rental houses on my street... people tend to 'throw out' alot of things rather then move them. :)
I am looking forward to this particular goodie because I have so many vines- I forgot to add the wysteria in my earlier list. I think it will be awesome!
