Over achiever.... yes I am!


So... tomorrow morning (before 7:30) I have a planting extravangaza in store...

12 papevar oriental (oriental poppy)













6 asclepias tuberosa (butterfly weed)


3 buddleia (butterfly bushes)

Want to lend a hand????

That Butterfly Weed is beautiful (I don't think I've ever seen it!) And so is that daffodil! That Butterfly bush is the same color we have.

It rained here (heavy) last week and probably made the garden areas too wet to get in today :( And it cooled off (we went from 80 being the high yesterday to 50 something being the high today!) The good thing is - this recent heavy rain has helped ease the drought!

I got everything out but the Buddleias; the other 18 plants were bare root and went directly into the soil.
I love the butterfly weed (so do the hummers) - it offers bright splashes of color that everyone- human or otherwise- just love. I am not sure that they will bloom this year, but.... one can hope.
