The award of Excellence

Today as I was going through my comments, Jane Marie from Thyme for Herbs had given me an award for excellence (I was flabbergasted!) First of all, thank you, Jane Marie.

Now it is my understanding that I am to pass this award on to 10 blogs that I perceive as excellent. Here are my choices:

A Yard In Fort Pierce

Zoe's Banana Cabana

Rowing and Sowing

Another Yard In Fort Pierce

Metaphyta

Old Country Gardens

Faire Garden

Robins Nesting Place

Garden Joy For Me

All Nature, My Garden

Again, thank you Jane Marie!

Frances:
Honey, you are quite welcome. Your blog is amazing. By the way, did you know I am originally from Tennessee? I have a very soft spot for that area....

Zoe Love:
Through it all you are a part of my life. :::smiles::: The award is a pay it forward thing so.... get it going girlfriend. Love you much.

Lets Plant:
I am sure you know I visit your blog daily. How could I not give you a gift that was so graciously given to me? Happy digging.

By the way I have a very common bromiliad I got from the dead plant society (that is explained on "This is how we do it" - www.momnaturerules.blogspot.com ) and I am about to have SOMETHING happen with it.... I looked up bromiliads and apparently you are supposed to water them in the crown or cup and.... man.... this one is responding. Will get a picture up soon and maybe you can help me to identify it. My next project will be a pineapple.

Arythrina:
You are amaxzing. Just keep on sharing those moments you enjoy. You brighten my day.

Joy:
Enjoy the garden, my friend. The blogs (and bloggers) will be here when the rains or drought hit. Kindnesses to you always.

That's great!! You surely deserved it, Soft! Your gardens are gorgeous, and you have brightened many a day and spirit for SO many people. And thank you for passing it on!

For a 5th grade project (I think we were supposed to watch how things grow) I stuck a pineapple top in a big pot of dirt and took it to class. I don't remember ever seeing any spectacular "growth" and wasn't very impressed (not back then, at least.) My teacher eventually took it home with her. I was impressed when some 20 years later and she was teaching my son 5th grade, she told class about how so and so's mother brought a pineapple top to class in a pot of dirt and that she still had it, and that it was now HUGE! LOL!

Have a great day!
