About those hummingbirds...

Usually I have an abundance of the wee birdies by now, but this year they have not seemed to come in droves.... so I had tried several things (including using 'red' nectar-which I truly dislike) and.... nothing..

Over the past several days I had noticed one tiny fellow hitting the older feeders... but none of the new, so when I washed and refilled I put all of the old dingy feeders in the spots I had them last year and... here they come en masse! The little darlings do NOT like the new feeders AT ALL! I will keep them filled just in case but, I am thinking that these tiny beasties are creatures of habit and do not like change (although I never had this problem before but I never had feeders that had any green on them and the new feeders have a green base- Lowes Hardware variety).

Soon we will have pictures...

Perhaps the hiatus is over...
