Ooo what a beauty. Is that a headboard? What will you be doing with it? It would look great to have some vines of that. Maybe even put it inbetween some shrubs and perennials.

Yes ma'am it is going in front of the water feature. I found a small pond liner, a granite water fall, pump, etc. that is going to be the other half of my birthday present. :) The other half agreed...

I think it is a great roadside find, 'eh?

Vanilla...
I have a spot picked out; there are some bulbs behind the area- glads and cannas; and morning glories and cypress vine and even a few wysteria are in that part of my yard. I love my pillaged treasure!

I can't imagine that beautiful bed being thrown out. It will be so pretty in the garden. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

LOL @ dumpster diving, Zoe... I think now we call it extreme recycling...

Robin,
One of the knobs is broken off of the top of the headboard- personally, I would have figured out how to fix it but, not my call - and absolutly a treasure find for me! I think my vines will be perfect on it!

I LOVE IT! And yeah - lol - we called it dumpster diving too. I'm forever looking at the stuff people throw away (and frequently bring it home!) LOL. That beautiful head board gives me an idea, too. We have an old iron stairwell hand rail "thing" (used to go up a set of steps) in the barn just gathering dirt and dust. I bet it's been sitting there for 20 years! I'm thinking.... it might be the perfect thing to support some gourds I want to plant separate from the ornamental gourds (but I've not been able to find a spot!) :) I love that headboard! Great idea. Great find!

G'morning Row! (dangit, you get up early!)

I placed it in my yard- yesterday- and pointed out where I want my pond to go (Zoe has me hooked on the water feature thing). That, and my new greenhouse (which will be here in a few days) are my birthday presents this year.

By the way and just so you know, Row and Sow, I am truly enjoying this co-operative blog thing. Thanks.
